European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety Vytenis Andriukaitis praised his country for providing scientific leadership to the project CHRODIS PLUS, a Joint Action between EU countries to reduce the burden of chronic diseases. The health commissioner said that it is important that newer EU countries like his own “take leading roles” in such initiatives.
Dr. Rokas Navickas from Vilnius University Hospital and his project team took the lead of scientific coordinators of this continuing initiative in the field of chronic diseases and in the span of next 3 years they will secure the quality project outcomes.
