SUMMARY:Workshop on Chronic Diseases and Healthy Ageing
DESCRIPTION:The Consumers\, Health\, Agriculture and Food Executive Agency (Chafea) organises a workshop on Chronic Diseases and Healthy Ageing to be hosted by the Netherlands. \nThis workshop aims to share the knowledge acquired through the chronic diseases and healthy ageing actions funded under the second Health Programme 2008-2013\, and at same time to demonstrate how their results can be used to improve EU countries capacities to respond to the challenges of chronic diseases and healthy ageing. It will involve speakers and experts from Belgium\, France\, Germany\, Ireland\, Luxembourg\, Spain\, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom and other EU countries. \nPublic health actions under the second Health Programme explored the status of EU\, national and regional policies and activities and the interaction of authorities\, patient organisations\, the medical and social sector\, industry and international organisations and their potential in better addressing specific major chronic diseases and healthy ageing across the lifecycle. \n
